2020 was a year no one could have predicted. Some people lost their jobs while others were pushed to their limits. Mental health issues began to rise. Across the country we all felt the effects of the Great Resignation. There was a demand for better work-life balance and feeling valued and invested in at work.

Burke Williams has always strived to give their employees everything they needed so they could focus on sharing their gifts with each guest once they came to work. As the world was re-opening, we asked ourselves, “Are we doing enough?” The Burke Williams Management Team listened to what the massage therapists were asking for. We added more benefits so our employees could have more time with family and take care of their mental health while also sharing their gifts of healing touch with others.

New Burke Williams Benefits:

Sign-on Bonus - It was a financially hard year for everyone, so Burke Williams offered $1000 to new hires with less than one year of experience and $2000 to new hires with more than one year of experience. Currently, we still have a sign-on bonus for the following locations: Santa Monica, Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, Hollywood, Pasadena and Simply in Marina Del Rey.

2 Week Paid, Extended Training - With so many therapists out of practice after a year of being shut down and schools working on dolls instead of people, Burke Williams created a 2 week paid, extended training program to help elevate therapists’ skills in communication, technique and flow. This helps those who may not have spa experience, or those straight out of massage school get the extra finesse to elevate their talents.

Full Benefits - Massage therapists only have to work 15 hours a week, instead of the previous requirement of 24 hours, to get full benefits (Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and Aflac).

Ultimate Flexibility - If you know 10 or more days in advance that you need a day off, just put it in the shift pool and pick up shifts at your convenience. Feel relaxed knowing you can have the time off that you need without the worry that no one will pick up your shift.

Pay - You'll receive a consistent flat rate for each service and enhancement provided, regardless of whether your guest is a member or a returning guest. This simplifies the process of estimating your earnings for each shift, offering clarity and predictability.

Get your raise faster - After every 650 hours of shift hours, you qualify for your raise evaluation. For instance, if you work the minimum requirement of three 4-hour shifts per week, you'll qualify for your raise evaluation annually. By working five 4-hour shifts, you could potentially reach the third pay level within your first year. With a total of 11 pay levels, the question becomes: How quickly can you advance to the top tier and start earning at the highest level?

15 min breaks - We schedule 15 min breaks into your schedule to ensure you get the rest you need. You don’t have to worry about finding time to go to the bathroom or getting a snack when you have back to back clients.

Valuable perks we kept because they are just too great to get rid of:

Wellness Program - Every employee can receive 6 massages or facials and 3 chiropractic appointments each year. Want to use the spa? No problem! Simply have a manager approve that there is space in the spa for you and it’s all yours. Need more services than 6 each year? No problem! Volunteer to be a body for any of the ongoing trainings and externships we host.

Host your own clients - Host up to two of your personal guests each week for as little as $2* while charging your guest your own rate. Have your guests enjoy the spa and use our products. We’ll even do the laundry for you. 

Paid Training and Ongoing Workshops - Whether you are learning a new enhancement or participating in an ongoing workshop, we pay you to keep learning. Need help with something? Just ask your manager and they will create a customized training for you and we’ll pay you to improve your skills.

Tuition Reimbursements - If you are a recent graduate with student loan debt and get hired on our team, we can help you pay off your loans, up to $200 per month.*

Paid Vacation - Take time to get away without worrying about losing money or needing to get your shifts covered.
