Burke Williams is pleased to introduce a new Steam Pedicure to the Torrance spa location beginning Friday, February 7. The new pedicure system replaces the use of water with steam to hygienically open pores and eliminate dead skin cells to leave the feet feeling soft and hydrated for days.
As some of you may know that I am the brand ambassador for Burke Williams; a group of luxury day spas that are scattered around California. For the last year it has been my job to explore the individual spas and experience some of the unique treatments each locations offers. There is a different theme and a different set of treatments at each Burke that set them apart from each other, but one thing they all have in common is their commitment to excellence. I have truly loved each treatment I’ve received at every location. For my latest Burke adventure I headed a few miles north to Sherman Oaks. The decor/theme of this one was like an English country complete with a telephone that looked like it came straight from the streets of London.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of celebrating Mother’s Day early by taking my cute lil mom to the Burke Williams Spa in Torrance. Two fun facts about my mom: (and possibly YOUR mom!?) spending time with her kids is one of her favorite things to do, and going to the spa is a close second. Combine the two together and the result is one happy mom! The Burke in Torrance did a great job of sweeping us both off our feet. The services were fabulous (as usual) but then they went and added champagne and fancy fruit plate to really wow us. Well done Burke, well done. As you may know by now I’m a pretty huge fan of the super lux chain of spas known as Burke Williams. With nine locations around Cali I have made it my goal to visit each one and try a new service. (I know what you’re thinking… my job sucks). In honor of Valentine's Day my sis and I prepped our minds and bodies by indulging in back to back treatments at the beautiful Burke in Santana Row, aka the Rodeo Drive of San Jose. The Moroccan decor throughout the Santana Row facility set a different sexy vibe from the other Burkes I’ve seen. With dark, bold colors and dim lighting this place oozed exotic zen from every corner.
With the holiday season right upon us it is easy to become overwhelmed and overlook how special this time of year truly is. We should not forget to celebrate what really matters: our family and friends, acts of kindness, health, and gratitude. I've been known to be a crazed-gift giver always trying to outdo myself from the year-to-year, but this time around I am taking it down a notch. I still have every intention of absolutely spoiling everyone I know with thoughtful gifts, however this year the theme is pampering and I'm giving the gift of rejuvenation!
