Burke Williams started as one of the first luxury day spas in the United States in the 1980s and has evolved into a destination that people throughout the world put on their bucket list, and with 11 locations throughout California we’re on a mission to continue to expand in many ways, including hiring more massage therapists now.
In previous blog posts we covered the steps to becoming a massage therapist in California which gained a lot of interest and we thought it would be helpful to follow-up with more information on the trends we’re seeing that will hopefully help massage therapists secure positions in the near future.
First and foremost, it’s exciting to see how massage therapy is now being viewed as a career profession and therapists are focused on being the best they can to listen, learn and adapt to the times. That may include perfecting the types of massages they’re best at (deep tissue, Swedish, etc.) or getting continued education/training to always be better in the future.
Secondly, looking at where we’re seeing the most interest in people wanting to either attend massage school to become certified or take things further and apply for massage therapy jobs, our day spas throughout Southern California are getting the most interest now (Hollywood, Santa Monica, Torrance) and we’re actively hiring.
