I have been visiting the iconic Burke Williams Day Spas for well over ten years and have grown to love the dark, cozy, lodge-like relaxing vibe that they have become know for. So it was a risky move for Burke Williams to shake up their tried and true brand image when designing their brand new Woodland Hills spa location, and I'm happy to say that it paid off. This spa isn't vintage classic comfortable Burke Williams at all, it's what I'm calling BW Nouveau aka BW NextGen and I LIKIE!
The Woodland Hills spa is a totally different and an exciting direction for Burke. It's fresh, light, bright and airy! You feel like you are in a swanky beach town like the Hamptons or South Beach. And beyond the bright beachy decor, what strikes me as the most unique about this location is that is set up more for communal spa-going (think Girls Night out at the Spa!) because of the larger common areas like the Garden Room, the two large Jacuzzis (love the one with the twinkle lights on the ceiling so that it looks like a starry night), the large sauna and steam room, the chic bright nail care room with fab steam pedicure basins and the cozy front lounge area pictured above. All of these open spacious areas are inviting guests to 'Come in, relax and unwind while you catch-up and bond with your besties'. I just love this modern update of the brand!
Now let me tell you a little bit more about the Burke Williams Spa in Woodland Hills and especially about the three inspired offerings that set it apart from all the other BW locations:
The Custom Blend Bar I LOVE this on trend new service that allows you to custom blend your own oil or body butter simply by answering a few questions that highlight your current concerns, mood and desires. With the help of an aromatherapist and a mood quiz, you are guided to one of over 10,000 aromatherapy and herbal recipes designed to insure that your service suits your current needs perfectly.
At the end, you get a mini bottle of your custom oil or butter that you can use in your spa treatment along with a recipe card of your formula for your reference. And the best part is that there will be plenty of the product leftover for you to use and enjoy this yummy creation at home!
The Garden Room Another fabulous new and unique offering at the Woodland Hills location is The Garden Room, which allows you to enjoy 15-20 minute mini-services in a relaxing co-ed environment either before or after your main service.
You basically sit down in a comfy chair and spontaneously choose a service that tickles your fancy, then you let the attendant know and they will send over the next available technician to perform your requested service. I just love the 'at-your-whim' concept of the Garden Room and that depending on your mood you can pick whatever service you want - and the best part is that you can do it right alongside of your girlfriends. So Fun!
The Blow Dry Bar Brilliant! Super smart of BW to piggyback on the hot dry bar trend and add a mini professional hair styling salon right into their new WH location, at competitive pricing! So if want to leave the spa completely ready for Girls Night Out, no need to go somewhere else for a professional wash and blow dry, BW has got you covered!
And there is one more thing that I wanted to share about BW Woodland Hills - Location, Location, Location! The location of The Woodland Hills Spa so fab! It is located in the newly opened Village at Westfield Topanga, an exciting outdoor shopping and dining destination that is perfect for exploring and hanging out after your spa visit. So many great retailers and yummy restaurants to enjoy!
So that's my take on the new Burke Williams Day Spa in Woodland Hills. What are you waiting for? Grab a couple of girlfriends and kick off the new year in style by pampering yourselves at this not-to-be-missed fresh and inspired new Burke Williams locale.
